How do Topics work in DiaryThreads?
Add a #topic to a published entry, reply, quote, paragraph, or to-do. DiaryThreads derives the topic locally, keeps it private, and links it to the contributing entries. Everyone can create, open, and search topics. Free users see their two most active topics; Premium unlocks the complete topic library and activity views.

Write naturally, organize automatically
A topic begins with # inside the text you were already writing. Compatible spelling variants are grouped without exposing the topic outside your private diary.
Drafts and quoted preview snapshots stay outside topic totals. Every published occurrence remains traceable to its entry.
Move from a name to its history
Search a topic or open its card to see associated entries across time. Month and Year views reveal activity through calendar and heatmap views, with Week and Day detail where it helps.
Topic cards can also reflect the State of Mind values explicitly attached to their contributing entries; body text is never used to invent emotion data.
A useful free layer, a complete Premium view
Topic writing and completion remain available to everyone, and valid topic text does not count toward the free 140-character allowance for ordinary entries.
Free users see their range-ranked top two topics. Premium reveals every topic and its full activity analysis without changing the underlying private data model.

Are Topics public hashtags?
No. Topics are derived and stored within your private DiaryThreads data. There is no public profile, follower graph, or discovery network.
Can free users add topics?
Yes. Everyone can write, open, and search topics. Free users see their two top-ranked topic cards; Premium unlocks the complete library.
Do topics count toward the 140-character free allowance?
Valid topic spans do not count toward that allowance. Ordinary text still follows the current Free or Premium limit.
